What is a mini tummy tuck?
One mini abdominoplasty, or “subumbilical dermolipectomy”, is a cosmetic surgery procedure that makes it possible to tighten slightly excess skin at the subumbilical level.
It is performed when the excess skin is not significant enough to allow a classical abdominoplasty (with umbilical transplantation). With this surgical technique, the umbilicus is not transposed and the incision passes under it.
Principle of intervention
The stages of a mini Abdominoplasty Are the same as for a tuminoplasty except that the incision remains under umbilical.
Often, liposuction is performed during the same operation in order to obtain a flat stomach and a well-stretched skin at the subumbilical level.
